The goal of the Industry Night Website project was to create a professional and engaging platform to showcase the work of students and professionals participating in an industry networking event. The website served as a central hub for event details, project showcases, and networking opportunities, with a design that reflected the professional tone of the event while maintaining an inviting, visually appealing aesthetic. The project also involved integrating dynamic animations using GSAP (GreenSock Animation Platform) to enhance user interaction and engagement.
A major challenge was designing a layout that could accommodate diverse content, including project portfolios and live event schedules, while maintaining simplicity and ease of use. Ensuring responsiveness across devices, combined with the integration of GSAP for animations, introduced complexity in balancing performance with smooth, visually engaging transitions. Creating dynamic animations that didn’t compromise user experience—particularly in terms of loading times—required fine-tuning both design and performance.
This project taught me the importance of performance optimization when incorporating animation libraries like GSAP. I gained experience in using GSAP to add smooth transitions and interactive elements, learning how to balance visual appeal with functionality. Additionally, I learned the value of flexible design, ensuring that the website could handle diverse content types while maintaining responsiveness and accessibility across devices.
